It is with great pleasure and ease that I write this letter of recommendation for Jeff Aubrey and Quality Construction Services. Jeff and his team constructed a 20'x36' two-storey addition to our home in the summer and fall of 2007.
Before beginning our project, we interviewed four prospective contractors, all recommended by satisfied clients. Jeff Aubrey, the farthest in kilometres from our site, stood out. He was sincere, communicative and clearly committed to quality. We were looking for a builder who would listen to our requests, provide suggestions and respect our decisions. Jeff fit the bill.
Our project may be considered unique in a couple of senses. Our original structure is a 130-year-old log cabin. We needed a large new addition that would fit the look and charm of the old building. To that end, we had lengthy discussions and many decisions that are probably not required on a completely new project. While this was challenging at times, Jeff remained positive, open-minded and patient.
Also, we continued to live in the cabin during construction. Therefore we saw first-hand all the crews and workmen brought to the site. Jeff demanded excellence of everyone and carefully monitored all progress. When any difficulties arose, Jeff handled them in a calm and respectful manner. Needles to say, all work was of the highest standard.
We are now in the process of a complete renovation of the original cabin. At this point, we could easily hire someone local to complete the project. However, given Quality Construction Services high standards, quality of workmanship and strong work ethic, we continue to rely on them.

I hired Quality Construction Services to remove and replace the front porch at my home. Since then they have also replaced my roof, built an upstairs closet, and reconstructed my entire first floor bathroom.
The quality of QCS's work was amazing. Nothing was done without my knowledge and approval, and if I did not understand the concept then it was explained until I did. Their attention to details was very much appreciated and their suggestions were knowledgeable and used on several occasions.
When Mr. Aubrey and I set up our first meeting he was there on time and for every other meeting we planned. As with any project, there can be delays with receiving materials or coordinating different workers, but there were hardly any with my projects. If there was a delay I was fully informed about it and given the reason why.
One of the most important aspects for me was the communication between me and Mr. Aubrey. As I've already stated, nothing was done without my approval, and he was also always available if a question did arise when he was absent from my work site. If I had to leave a message he would always return my call as soon as possible. He never simply ignored me for a later time.
Perhaps one of the most decisive elements to some people concerning any construction job would be the overall cost of the work and labour. Because of the variety of jobs I needed done Mr. Aubrey tried to be as precise as possible with his estimates, and I was amazed that he always come in at the range he quoted. To be honest, I was extremely happy with his prices.
